Day of the Dead

By August 19, 2014Uncategorized

We’re all familiar with Halloween in America, but did you know our neighbors to the south celebrate a different holiday? Their holiday, Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead, is held during the same time period as Halloween. However, it extends from October 31st to November 2nd. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends, to pray for and remember friends and family members who have passed away.

October 31st we’re offering FREE face painting to anyone who wants to get in the spirit from 5 to 7PM. Our friend and local artist Christopher Stubbs from Surreal Tattoo will be on hand to create works of art on you or your child’s face. These works of art are obviously temporary, unlike his normal artwork.

November 1st we have DJ Lee coming in to play live music, yes he’s a musician; no DJ is his actual name. If you enjoy live music the Drunken Worm is the place to be Saturday Night!

November 2nd you can’t forget your hometown Kansas City Chiefs are playing the New York Jets at Noon. We’ve got quite the loyal fan base here in West 39th Street and we’d love for you to join us for the game.

Borracho himself, Would like to personally invite you down to the Drunken Worm during this celebration. It’s a perfect time to celebrate friendships and create new ones, all while stuffing your face from our Baja inspired menu and sipping on our selection of over 120 tequilas and mezcals.

We hope to see you this weekend
